SECC

The State Employee Community Campaign (SECC) is the annual opportunity for state employees to support the nonprofit organization of their choice through convenient payroll deduction. While the most recent campaign has closed, SECC returns every fall during open enrollment, typically from late September through early November. Exact dates vary each year and will be announced when the campaign opens.

Even when the campaign is not active, we encourage staff to learn about their giving options and consider which organizations they may want to support in the next SECC cycle.

Thank you to all staff that contributed during SECC open enrollment and a very special thank you to Tammy Caldwell from Westville for being our top contributor.

Why Choose CPAFI During SECC?

together we make a difference donate through payroll deuction
CPAFI is proud to be one of the nonprofits available for state employees to support through the SECC. When you choose CPAFI, your donation stays within the IDOC family — directly supporting correctional professionals, contract staff, and their immediate families during moments of crisis.

Every day, IDOC employees protect the safety of Hoosiers while making a positive impact on the lives of incarcerated individuals and their families. But when they face unexpected hardship — such as natural disasters, catastrophic accidents, or the loss of an employee — CPAFI is there to help. Since our founding, we have provided more than $1.4 million in emergency assistance and academic scholarships to IDOC staff and their loved ones.

Your contribution through SECC helps us:
  • Provide immediate financial assistance during catastrophic events
  • Support staff and their families in times of loss or crisis
  • Offer scholarships to employees, contract staff, and their dependents
  • Strengthen the IDOC community through compassion and care
When the campaign opens each fall (late September through early November), we hope you’ll consider choosing CPAFI — because your support truly changes lives.
